Health & Safety Policy Statement

We are committed to preventing injury and ill health, and to providing a safe, healthy working environment for all employees, contractors, visitors, and others who may be affected by our operations.

Compliance with all applicable UK health and safety legislation is our minimum standard. We are dedicated to exceeding these requirements through continuous improvement and proactive risk management, in alignment with the principles of ISO 45001:2018 – the international standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.

Health and safety are integral to our overall business performance and carry equal importance to other key objectives. We will allocate appropriate financial, human, and physical resources to ensure this policy is effectively implemented.

We recognise that effective health and safety management depends on the active participation and commitment of all employees. To support this:

  • Employees will be encouraged to take ownership of health and safety and to participate in decision-making processes.
  • All staff and contractors will be made aware of their individual responsibilities and obligations.
  • Compliance with this policy is a condition of employment and contractual engagement.

This policy will be:

  • Clearly documented, communicated, and understood across all levels of the organisation.
  • Implemented and maintained through our Health and Safety Management System, which clearly defines responsibilities at every level.

While all managers are responsible for day-to-day health and safety performance within their areas, ultimate responsibility lies with the Managing Director.

Where necessary, we will engage competent external advisors to support the implementation and ongoing development of our Health and Safety Management System.

To ensure ongoing improvement:

  • We will set measurable health and safety objectives and establish a programme with defined targets, timescales, and responsibilities.
  • Progress will be regularly reviewed, and audits will be conducted to assess the effectiveness and suitability of our management system.
  • This policy will be reviewed annually, or sooner if required, to ensure its ongoing relevance and compliance with current legislation and best practices.
