Proudly Supporting The Martha Trust

Martha Trust was set up in 1987 to care for people with profound physical and multiple learning disabilities and to offer help and support to their families.  They have a clear mission: to offer friendship and encouragement to the people they support, enabling them to achieve their own goals. Everyone at Martha Trust is dedicated to their mission and to putting the rights and needs of the people they care for above all else.

  • They set and promote standards of excellence in the care and development of people with profound disabilities
  • They provide a happy, stimulating and loving home where people can get the most out of each and every day
  • They value and support their staff and invest in their training and development
  • They promote good communications and build strong relationships between residents, their families, staff and fellow professionals
  • They maintain rigorous operational and financial controls to ensure their long-term stability
  • They encourage new and innovative ways to develop and expand their work
  • They engage with local communities so they can understand and support them
  • And they campaign on behalf of their residents to protect their rights and quality of life

At Finlo Frank we have recently supported the Bonkers in Barcelona car challenge.  Martha trust told us: “In just four days our intrepid teams made the journey from Dover to Barcelona in cars worth no more than £200.  Each team has raised thousands of pounds towards our work so a massive well done and thank you to everyone who took part and to all those who supported their cars.  In total we have raised over £23,000 in sponsorship to date. With some money still due in we hope to reach £30,000 which is a brilliant achievement!”
